I think most everyone knows my husband is Canadian, and so therefore, our children are half Canadian and therefore at least half of everyone we love is Canadian.  It comes as no surprise to me that I LOVE Canadian House and Home………………..    so if I can’t stop hanging out over there, you just blame my family……………..

this to me, defines cottage chic……………..I love the colors, the textures and the little blurb collection of plates on the wall, like they are growing there..

I LOVE the texture of the rug with the ultr modern lighting, and a tent?  are you kidding me, and then just throw in a surf board…………I am there.  I would love for our children to have a super cool lounge area such as this!

and this room, I don’t know why I LOVE it so much……….maybe just the mixture of the vintage pediment, the crisp stripes, the warm mustardyish tone and then BIRDS………..  

I am certain I have posted this image before, probably not that long ago.  But, I LOVE it!!!   If I could own a restaurant, and I dream of that, I would have this look.  The only change I would make is a mix of sparkly chandeliers with my favorite Capiz Shell Chandelier.  Look back in my posts, you will find them……………

1st dibs

I fell in LOVE with this today………….

I do not know what I would do with this, but it is the right color and it is super cool……I do not drink, so of course would be perfectly happy if it was anything else too, but just love the history of it………..1st dibs

a little shopping…….

Now that I have my professional “approval”, thank you Kelly Hoppen, you don’t even know how grateful I am to you………….      I have been purchasing random items to fill my “dreaded” built-ins……..    I think I might just learn to love them………..     I might just get a “professional” photo of them next week to let you know how they are working………..now, if I could just find some more hammered silver accessories as I like the lightness and metallicness of them(you can use that word if you want to)     thank you Target and Pottery Barn for your items…………..       some more items that will be coming my way soon……

I believe my basement built-ins will soon be filled with these little tidbits of freshness, only…….   will most likely use natural stones with a white bud, unless of course I find something else that is perfect for the occasion.   

and upstairs will be getting some of the larger thick cylinder vases to put the aforementioned beach accessories in (which there wasn’t an exact picture of on the Pottery Barn site, so just an fyi, I got the beach glass and the driftwood, no shells, as it isn’t quite believable to find starfish shells in the midwest, kind of wanted some authenticity to my life…………   If you are still reading this, as I think usually people just have time to look at the pictures,  I just want you to know,  I appreciate you.
