we have some winners

Okay,  thank you to all of you who emailed me your choices, we have finalized our decisions on the “important” lighting for the shop.  I am excited about it, and thankful I can stop thinking about it now.  I opted to go retail and skip the wholesale options as it is ridiculous to get some of these companies to call me back and when some of them do, they charge $50 for a catalog or, there minimums were $3000 and such.  Yikers!  Forget about making money I say!!!  When it costs that much to make money.

I love her.    I am very excited to meet her in person.   And then these guys will be great soldiers above the coffee shop counter…  We will have three soldiers.

kind of simple, but I think a nice clean elegant look.    Now off to order them and make some counter decisions.   Thank you for all your help!!!

additional inspiration on illumination

if you have a moment.   (I wish I could post the pictures, but it won’t let me, sorry.)  go to   riehldesigns.com    choose portfolio  choose modern.   You will find pictures of a beautiful loft appartment recently done in Minneapolis by Riehl Designs.   There is an entryway, which is not a good picture but I love the tile surround which is a mother of pearl tile.  I WANT THAT…………    and then if you see a living room picture, there will be the most unusual and interesting and fabulous lights!!  I have to go dream now………………………

good morning illumination

Today I could use a little bit of help from my friends……..   I need to make a decision on lighting for the remodel.   I would love to find some accent lighting that I could actually buy wholesale and offer for sale.  But the impression is most important and of course I am on a limited budget.  These are the looks I love, but can’t find any wholesale options………….

This was my #1 choice from Target, online, however it is too expensive for how small it is

this one is cool from Zgallerie and is a bit better on price, but still, not quite what I would like    (well, can’t put a picture here, but it is more square, still capiz shells like above and a bit more dangly.)

I like something a littler more classic too, like this from Pottery Barn (which also comes with a huge tag, so would love to find something wholesale, that I could actually make money from)

and I am not ruling out sparkle either…………as I love this chandelier which is from the blogger of Elements of Style, found on the blog The Love List

I even like this simple globe from one of my favorite bloggers, Housemartin

this too is neat, and kind of sparkly

I just want to say, yes…………I am dreaming ……………………….and in my dream, my friend Mr. Lauren comes over and designs me a cozy bed out by the lake today, with the wind blowing a little, the sun on my face, and I can hear the lake and smell it as well as I fade off for awhile…………………

Big Wishes…….little budget

I would love to have potting tables like these in the store (Aidan Gray) but $1375 each is just not even something for me to think about.  Aren’t they cool though!!
